Unanswered Prayers: The Blessings We Don’t See
Gratitude has been my greatest teacher. Looking back, some of my biggest blessings weren’t the things I got, but the things I didn’t. The opportunities that slipped away, the doors that never opened, the prayers that went unanswered—each one played a role in leading me to exactly where I’m meant to be.
It’s easy to feel disappointed when things don’t go our way. We work hard, we give our best, and still, some things don’t pan out. At the time, it feels unfair, frustrating, even heartbreaking. But with time and perspective, I’ve realized that life has a way of protecting us from things that aren’t meant for us. What we see as rejection is often redirection. What feels like a setback is actually making space for something better.
I’ve had opportunities come my way that I once thought were perfect—only to later realize they weren’t aligned with my values or vision. I’ve also had moments where I felt a deep sense of loss over something I didn’t get, only to later be grateful that I was spared from it. The universe has its own way of working things out, and I trust that process more than ever.
So today, I am grateful. Grateful for what I have, for what I’ve worked for, and for the things I didn’t get. Because everything—every win, every loss, every missed opportunity—has shaped me into the person I am today. And for that, I wouldn’t change a thing.
