I strongly believe that a lot of me, is a lot of what I read.
Thanks to my father who inspired the reading habit in me. He used to make me cut out the editorial section of the newspaper and write my views on it. Ya, that was a daily exercise 🙊😊
That led to critical thinking about different topics. It improved vocabulary and gave confidence to speak on diverse subjects. Slowly, I began to excel at debates and won several accolades at national level. I could reference quotes, authors, books very easily.
Books are magical. They let you travel with them to lands you would never visit physically. Transport you to the author’s world.
This particular book is my super favorite cos I am literally living this every single day. When you want to take on a big challenge in life, especially when there is no precedent, it will be full of unforeseen difficulties.
Top amongst those difficulties will be that you are going to be massively loved but massively disliked 😊🤷♀️ It takes a lot of practice to ignore the dislike. As a human being, it’s our natural response to feel heartbroken with negative feedback but to succeed in purpose, we have to train our mind to let appreciation and dislike both be non sticky.
Even today, being disliked can momentarily feel cold but doesn’t stick for very long times. I keep focused on the purpose and move on to the next tasks on hand. And so should you. Have the courage to be disliked 😊📖🙌💪
