In Honour of Our Soldiers. In Memory of Pahalgam.
On April 22, 2025, the town of Pahalgam, a serene spot in Kashmir, was violently shaken by a terror attack. This devastating assault on our innocent fellow countrymen pushed tensions between India and Pakistan to a breaking point. Just days later, May 2025 saw a full-scale military conflict, with the Line of Control (LOC) witnessing intense artillery shelling, drone attacks, and missile exchanges. The region now stands in a state of war, with casualties mounting mainly on Pakistan side.
For our soldiers, the duty to defend is more than a commitment—it is a sacrifice. Young men, barely out of their twenties, are stationed at some of the highest and most perilous posts in the world. From the bitter cold of Uri to the streets of Jammu, Amritsar, Rajasthan, they stand guard, knowing the enemy is watching, waiting. These brave men have no second thoughts, only the unwavering resolve to protect our nation.
But behind every soldier is a family. Parents who have raised these young men, spouses who pray for their safe return, children who await their fathers, and siblings who carry on with their lives, yet live every day under the shadow of uncertainty. Their strength is just as remarkable as the courage of the soldiers on the front lines.
The people of Kashmir have endured the brunt of this conflict for decades. That beautiful land, often called as Heaven on earth, has seen so many innocent lives for enless years. The attacks, the shelling, and the constant fear—they are forced to live in conditions we can hardly imagine. Yet, their resilience shines through. Despite the chaos, the heartbreak, and the loss, they continue to carry on. They are not just the victims of war—they are its silent soldiers.
The attack on Pahalgam was a brutal reminder of the ever-present threat. It was not just an isolated incident but a catalyst that has brought us to this moment. As the war rages on, we are reminded of the sacrifices we must make to protect our sovereignty. It is a sacrifice we do not take lightly.
The conflict continues, with ceasefire agreements broken and hostilities escalating rapidly. Our soldiers are fighting on the frontlines to ensure that the borders remain secure. The stakes could not be higher. But in the midst of this war, one thing remains clear—Kashmir belongs to India, and it always will.
Sometimes, it is needed to go to war to end bloodshed. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat
