For the longest time, I used to think that reading business books was the key to growth—learning strategies, leadership skills, industry insights. But over the years, I’ve realized that real expansion happens when we step beyond our domain.

Reading philosophy has changed the way I think. Psychology has helped me navigate people and situations better. Fiction has sparked creativity in ways I never expected. The sharpest leaders I know aren’t just experts in their field; they are deeply curious about life itself. That’s what sets them apart.

Growth isn’t just about getting better at what we do—it’s about evolving as a person. If we only consume what’s directly useful to our work, we limit ourselves. But when we open up to diverse perspectives, we start connecting dots others can’t even see.

So, here’s my reminder to myself and to you—pick up something unexpected. Read beyond business. The insights you gain might just be the game-changer you didn’t see coming.
